Dori Luke has a Bachelors of Psychology and a Masters of Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her studies include extensive training in the following:

  • (including EMDR Level 2 and the SELF Trauma model)
  • Internal Family Systems
  • Imago Couples Therapy
  • Developmental Needs Meeting Strategy
  • Relational Therapy


Dori has been practicing therapy since 1998. She strives to connect with clients as she offers a safe and non-judgmental environment for people to truly be themselves. One of her primary goals is to help her clients overcome any debilitating feelings of shame and guilt they may have about their past or previous choices.

In her work with eating disorders Dori uses a non-diet, feminist treatment approach. She also works with Athletes and Compulsive Exercisers, Obesity, Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD) and Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).

For over five years, Dori also helped create, establish, and direct the, now international, Girls on the Run Program (www.girlsontherun.org), a self-esteem and running program for pre-adolescent and adolescent girls.

Dori offers Individual Therapy, Family Therapy, Couples Therapy, and Phone Counseling.
